Solargraphy
All photographs are taken in Sundakai, my grandparents homestead.
Nature itself has created perfect conditions for Solargraphy – wide open spaces, high skies, peace and quiet.
Solargraphy as a technique is not too complicated – high-quality photographic paper is placed in an empty can and exposed to daylight for a long time through a tiny hole.
Solargraphy is a type of long-exposure photography that captures images of the sun moving across the sky.
These exposures can last for days, months, even years, which is why absolutely unique works of art are created. None of the works can be reproduced the same way – each image is a reflection of an unpredictable nature.
I call them “Sunpoems”.
